Technical Support Specialist
(Medical Device / Healthcare)

Location: Addison, IL
 
Our client is a growing manufacturing company of systems and devices for medium to large healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device organizations. They are seeking to hire a Technical Support Specialist. This position will report to our Manager of Technical Support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Provide technical assistance and support for inbound queries and issues from our customers related to software and hardware
● Respond to customer support inquiries via email, phone, chat
● Diagnose product issues and guide them to a positive solution
● Document customer inquiries in ERP system
● Advise Marketing and engineering teams on product feedback based on customer interactions

QUALIFICATIONS:

● 1-3 years of customer support for technical products and/or software, or related skill set
● Exceptional communication abilities over via phone, email, and chat
● Strong understanding of technical concepts related to software and hardware
● IT Experience with the following:
o Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues o Understanding of LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP configurations
o Basic server knowledge
o Configure and install server roles
o Basic security standards
● Experience writing technical documentation and procedural content for product management and customer support FAQ’s
● Organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
● Self-direction and ability to work alone
● Self-motivated, positive attitude with an eagerness to learn
● Occasional travel, roughly 5%, for customer support including field installations may be required. ● Sense of humor
