Our client is an industry leading, fortune 500 company that continues to rapidly grow and dominate their space.

The role of the Director of Sales Recruiting & Strategy is to facilitate the selection of talent to fill the national sales force using strategic sourcing initiatives and organizational knowledge, combined with deep expertise of the external labor market. Help build and update staffing forecasts, execute recruitment strategies for designated groups and move to a proactive and holistic recruitment mindset throughout the organization. Provides consultative support to managers on all aspects of the hiring process, etc. Hire, manage, mentor, train and supervise talent acquisition staff, support staff, and contract recruiters. Represent talent acquisition department at business line meetings and within the community. Provide subject matter expertise on specific processes within talent acquisition, such as relocation, contingent workforce, and onboarding process.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Manage and supervise a team of recruiters. Coach and develop recruiters on key talent acquisition metrics, with a focus on candidate and hiring manager experience. Selects and manages contract recruiters as needs dictate.
  • Strategize with the line of business to build successful candidate profiles and pipelines, clarify required job skills and competencies and use the best sourcing strategies and techniques for each job category. Will work with others to integrate efforts across functions and organizations to achieve results.
  • Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with the management team of assigned business lines. Proactively identify staffing issues and trends before they affect productivity and turnover. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned business lines in order to effectively differentiate our client from other companies within the market. Will prioritize work and share broad knowledge of talent acquisition trends with groups.
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans. Network through industry contacts, association, memberships, trade groups and employees at a national level. Use creative recruiting methods to identify both active and passive candidates for the organization for specialized and/or high level functions.
  • Develop community relations and represent the Talent Acquisition function at business line meetings. Align the work goals of the team to that of the organization and allocate resources according to strategic priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to compliant recruiting and hiring practices to minimize risk to the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date of the industry knowing where to find the best talent
  • Work closely with the National Director of Recruiting to ensure metrics are being tracked and measured consistently, processes are well documented and all trainings are being updated regularly.
  • In addition, this position may assist with both external and internal hiring efforts (internal recruitment meaning assessment of employees for different or more senior roles.)

Qualifications
Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Ten (10+) years of experience in all areas of talent acquisition
  • Five (5+) years of experience in the supervision of personnel
  • Must have experience staffing and partnering with a multi-state sales force
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage deadlines.
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Must have a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism in appearance and communication style; and high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to drive results in a quota driven, fast paced environment.
  • Experience creating, documenting, and maintaining key processes.
  • Ability to create trainings and present to audiences of 10+.
  • Knowledge of social media for sourcing/recruiting/marketing efforts.
  • Able to work in a highly functioning, fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word
